We have gained planning consent for this 76,000 sq ft building, part of the Tileyard complex which sits adjacent to Antony Gormley’s studio in North London. The design picks up the industrial vernacular of the area with its red brick plinth for the lower light-industrial floors, topped by chalk white brickwork for the co-working incubator space above. We have retained the industrial heritage of the existing building by re-using the original loading bay to form an entrance to the new building and Corten steel and distressed metal panels complement the long horizontal glazing.
