An old tobacco pipe factory on a cobbled street in Camden Town has been converted into six, two-bedroom residential apartments. Capturing the buildings industrial character, we stripped back interiors to reveal original brick walls and expose timber joists and followed historical photographs to help us install new Crittall windows to resonate with those used in the original design. The name of the factory – B. Barling & Sons, has been reinstated to complete this sensitive retrofit scheme.
