Home to GMS Estates for generations, two Grade II listed Georgian properties have been extended to accommodate the growing organisation. We transformed a post-war extension and lower ground floor space to the rear of the firms’ head office to create two new storeys of contemporary work space. A copper bronze triangulated roof provides a striking contrast to the historic surroundings externally, and a statement ceiling from within. The original 1720s buildings with their oak panelling have been carefully renovated.

The scheme was shortlisted for an RIBA Regional Award, won a Camden Design Award and was commended at the Blueprint and the NLA Awards.
