Fitzroy Street Grafton Mews

Commercial Housing Mixed-use

A Grade II listed 18th century terraced house on Fitzroy Street runs through to a 1970s mews building behind. The two buildings were co-joined and each had an element of office and residential use with access from both sides.

Emrys have reconfigured the buildings placing residential on the more suited Fitzroy Street and offices in the rear mews. The Fitzroy Street elevation remains unaltered whilst Grafton Mews was rebuilt removing an unattractive top floor mansard and replacing it with materials and a design that sits comfortably with its neighbours.

The sliding doors were added for security and to work within the mews aesthetic.
