Through a playful approach to materiality and a close working relationship with the client, we have created a bespoke and inspiring new library for Imperial College London. Alongside a new and accessible entrance space, we created a series of study zones designed to cater for a range of uses; curved learning pods provide isolated spaces suitable for small group gatherings, while shared desks provide space for quiet concentration. Backlit interiors and signage, exposed ductwork and stainless steel partitions create a contemporary learning environment.
