Barkers of Kensington

Mixed-use

We have gained planning consent for the redevelopment and retrofit of the landmark building Barkers of Kensington, an iconic Grade II listed example of an Art Deco department store.

Construction has commenced to create more contemporary and welcoming entrances, leading to a reinvented atrium with four fully glazed scenic lifts, bridges and a staircase. We are reimaging the internal layouts of the office accommodation using a retrofit first approach, reusing, repurposing and recycling where possible, and upgrading the exterior to include the main entrances, forming a new roof top café and bar with private dining rooms in the iconic Barkers lanterns and fully landscaped accessible terrace.
