Education

Chandler House is the new home to a series of highly-specialised acoustic labs for the study of speech and hearing for University College London. The building was listed during the design process, and as a result, the brief was particularly complex, requiring close collaboration with the client and extensive negotiation with the Local Authority. Alongside the provision of a new library and teaching spaces, a double-height glazed atrium with a balcony projects from the retained facade to create a contemporary new entrance and breakout space for students.
