Long Lane

Commercial Mixed-use

Won in a competition, we have gained planning approval for this project in the City of London. The scheme is for new-build offices and retail units to replace three neighbouring outdated post war buildings. The buildings are under two separate ownerships and our proposal optimises the marriage value of the sites.

Sitting along the City’s Culture Mile, and between the new Elizabeth Line Farringdon East Station and Barbican underground station, this building takes on strategic importance for the aspirations and delivery of the Culture Mile as it leads from the Barbican to the new Museum of London site at Smithfield’s Market. The expected increased footfall and need for high quality public realm has been recognised and embraced with the widening of the pavements, introduction of trees and a pocket park that enjoys the lunchtime sun.
